The DC37c delivers the same cyclone-plus-HEPA architecture as the standard DC37 in a more compact form factor. Root Cyclone technology sits at the centre of the Dyson DC37c’s separation system, using high-velocity rotational airflow to centrifugally remove large and medium dust particles before the airstream reaches the filtration stage and reducing the concentration of fine particulate that the pre-motor filter must intercept. Particles fine enough to pass through cyclone separation, ultrafine dust, airborne pollen, microscopic allergens, and shed skin cells, reach the pre-motor HEPA filter, where the dense media holds them and prevents them from entering the motor. Fine-particle accumulation in the filter media progressively increases airflow resistance, causing suction to decline over successive cleaning sessions. Cold-water rinsing restores the open structure of the media and allows airflow to recover; the filter must dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinsertion.
