Both heads are in active use on different floor types during a typical cleaning session, and both direct debris through the same post-motor HEPA filter. The Fluffy Optic handles fine particulate from hard floors at the V12’s full airflow; the Motorbar processes fibrous debris including pet hair and carpet fibres at the same cyclone throughput. The Total Clean’s piezo particle sensor monitors airborne particles in real time, and its Auto mode uses that data to adjust suction when it detects a heavier floor load. Filter cleanliness is central to this process: a post-motor filter carrying compacted fine dust reduces airflow past the sensor inlet and causes the sensor to undercount particles, holding the machine in a lower suction state than the floor requires. The LCD alert appears when this restriction begins to affect sensor readings, giving the owner a clear prompt to wash the filter before motor pulsing begins.

This pack of three Plus.Parts® washable HEPA filters addresses the 24-hour drying constraint that makes a single filter impractical for continuous daily operation on the monthly wash schedule. Each filter is matched to the V12 Detect Slim Total Clean’s post-motor housing, fitting the twist-lock mount and sealing surface of the original component.
