Its mopping system feeds water from a built-in tank through the pad as the robot covers the floor, leaving a lightly damp surface that dries quickly after the robot passes. The approach works well when the mop pad is fresh, but performance is not static. Pad fibres compact and become less absorbent with use, floor residue accumulates in the weave, and after enough sessions the pad stops distributing water evenly. The floor still gets wet, but the result is streaky rather than clean.
