The mopping system presses the pad against the floor under controlled vibration, which lifts dried residue and light staining that suction alone cannot address on hard floors. The hot water mop wash at the station extends pad life between manual laundry cycles, but it does not eliminate the need to replace pads eventually: fibres compress over time, and a pad that has lost its surface texture stops engaging the floor properly regardless of how clean it looks.
