The Ecovacs Deebot T8 AIVI+ combines the Deebot T8 AIVI’s AI-powered obstacle recognition with an integrated Auto-Empty Station, bundled together to make hands-free floor cleaning the default experience. The AIVI system uses real-time video processing to recognise and navigate around common household obstacles that LiDAR alone would treat as uniform barriers: cables, shoes, small toys. This reduces the chance of the robot becoming stuck mid-session on cluttered floors, which is precisely the scenario where auto-empty docking is most valuable. The dock clears the robot’s bin automatically after every cleaning run, which means the T8 AIVI+ can be left to run independently without its bin filling and limiting the next session. The dock bag absorbs each suction transfer: a strong, fast burst of air pulls debris from the compact robot bin into the larger bag in the dock. Over dozens of transfer cycles, the bag fills incrementally. The critical point is that a bag approaching capacity cannot absorb the full transfer. The robot’s bin goes from fully cleared to partially cleared after each run, gradually limiting how much the T8 AIVI+ can pick up in its next session.
