The full OMNI station handles automated maintenance between sessions: pad washing, hot-air drying, dust collection, and water refilling, so the robot arrives at each scheduled run with freshly laundered pads and a full water supply. The combination of higher suction and a more powerful mopping mechanism extends the X5 Omni’s capability across a wider range of floor conditions.
The automated station care extends pad life relative to unmanaged storage, but the microfibre still wears and flattens over months of daily contact with hard floors. Once the pads can no longer lift water cleanly from the surface, a point the station wash cannot reverse, replacing the set restores the mopping contribution to the level the X5 Omni’s system is calibrated around.
