The iRobot Clean Base ADE-N2 extends what the Roomba can do by taking over the least pleasant part of the process. Without the dock, even the most capable Roomba becomes a daily chore: the bin fills after a single session on carpet in a busy household and needs manual attention. The ADE-N2 adds a step the robot completes autonomously: on return to the charging position, the dock’s internal motor activates and empties the bin into a sealed bag housed in the dock’s lower chamber. The robot is ready for the next run without user involvement. The dock itself only needs attention when the bag signals full, which typically takes several weeks of daily use. At that point the only task is pulling the old bag out, it seals automatically on extraction, and clicking a fresh one in.
