The side brush on the iRobot Roomba 535 is a 3-arm design mounted on a raised post at the front-right of the chassis, retained by a single screw. It is the most consistently overlooked part on the 500-series platform. Thread, hair and carpet fibre accumulate beneath the brush base and compress around the post shaft over weeks of use, quietly straining the side-brush motor rather than producing an obvious performance symptom. The motor is not a field-serviceable part. Remove the screw and the brush weekly to clear the shaft; this single habit prevents the most common motor failure on this platform. Replace the brush itself every four to six months, or sooner if any arm tip is shedding filaments or bent more than fifteen degrees from its moulded angle.
This kit contains Plus.Parts® components as a direct-fit alternative to the original iRobot consumables: a bristle brush, a flexible beater brush, a pleated fibre filter, a 3-arm side brush and yellow end-cap bearing components. All matched to the Roomba 535’s standard-bin configuration, installing without any modification.
Built to perform across the full replacement interval. Contact the VacuumReviews.eu team for any question about your 535’s specific setup or your order.
