What the factory bundle does not change is the maintenance schedule: inspect both brushes and their yellow end-cap bearings every one to two weeks, tap the filter clean after each session, and clear the side-brush post shaft of wrapped hair weekly to protect the motor. The 551’s pleated filter must never be rinsed: water permanently collapses the pleats regardless of drying time.
