The iRobot Roomba c7556 is one of two Clean Base configurations in the c7-tier of the Roomba Combo c-series. It shares the same robot chassis, suction class, dual multi-surface rubber brush system and retractable mop arm as the c7550 and c7156, with the added convenience of a Clean Base auto-empty station that evacuates the onboard bin into a sealed dustbag after each run. All consumables are identical across every c-series and Combo j-series model, so the 18 parts in this set fit without modification.
This set supplies Plus.Parts® direct-fit alternatives to the original iRobot parts 4812261 / 4812262: two sets of dual rubber brushes, four high-efficiency filters, four side brushes, four mop pads and two dustbags – 18 parts in all. The rubber brush end caps are the maintenance item that catches owners by surprise on this model. The c7556 uses a dual rubber roller design with no bristle tufts, which effectively sheds short and medium-length hair during the cleaning run. On long hair, however, threads migrate laterally along each roller body and collect around the bearing boss recessed inside the end cap. The end cap sits flush with the brush guard when assembled, which means the accumulation is invisible during a casual top-down inspection. The correct service action is to remove each roller entirely, slide the end cap off and pull the accumulated hair away from the bearing boss. Neglecting this step is the primary cause of a brush-stall error on the c7556 – the robot returns to dock mid-clean with a stall indicator even though the rubber fins look clean from above. Clear both end caps every two weeks and confirm each brush spins freely in the guard with no resistance before reassembling.
Tap the high-efficiency filter weekly and replace every two to three months. Never wash the pleated element. On the Clean Base configuration, swap the sealed dustbag every forty-five to sixty days – never empty and refit a used bag, because the collar seal is rated for single use and a reseated collar allows fine particles to bypass on the next emptying cycle. Replace side brushes every four to six months and mop pads when the microfibre pile flattens. Rinse the mop pad after every run and machine-wash weekly without fabric softener. Behind the set is a real team at VacuumReviews.eu, so if brush-stall errors persist after a full end-cap clean, reach out and we will help you check the brush motor module.
