The iRobot Roomba j5170 is a European market retail code for iRobot’s Roomba j5, the entry point into the j-series line. It brings PrecisionVision Navigation, a front-facing camera that identifies small floor obstacles such as cords, shoes, and socks and steers around them in real time, together with Imprint Smart Mapping for room-by-room cleaning on a defined schedule. The AeroForce 3-stage cleaning system handles physical collection: side brushes sweep debris into the path, dual rubber extractors agitate and lift it from the surface, and suction draws it through the high-efficiency filter into the bin. The filter media captures fine particles that the extractor stage passes into the airstream.
As the j5170 runs on its defined schedule, filter media loads progressively. When it reaches saturation, airflow resistance rises and suction drops across the cleaning pass.
