The Roborock Q7 L5+ is the auto-empty version of the refreshed Q7 L5, pairing 8,000 Pa suction and a rubber-finned main brush with a dock designed to keep daily dustbin maintenance in the background. The finned roller is a cleaner handler of pet hair than the original Q7 brush: where the earlier design let hair wrap the hub, the finned version directs it toward the end caps for a quicker fortnightly check. The dock that ships with the L5+ uses a 2.5-litre self-sealing bag that collects debris after every session, and Roborock rates the bag at around seven weeks of capacity before a replacement is due.
The auto-empty step depends on the bag having room to accept new debris. When it fills, the dock seals the neck and triggers an alert: a sealed full bag is no longer able to draw the dustbin contents across, so the robot arrives at its next cleaning session with an uncleared bin.
