The station activates when the robot returns to the dock, pulling collected debris from the onboard bin and compressing it into a sealed bag inside the dock housing. This means the robot enters each new cleaning session with an empty internal bin and full collection capacity, without requiring manual emptying between runs. The dock bag is rated for approximately sixty days of normal household use, but fibrous debris, particularly hair and fine particulate, compacts and consolidates inside the bag as the weeks pass. That compaction progressively reduces the pressure differential the station relies on to pull debris through the outlet, and the transfer sequence becomes less complete before the fill indicator registers the change. Planning the replacement on a fixed eight-week calendar ensures the station operates at its designed efficiency throughout.
