Pet households represent a specific cleaning challenge, and the Dyson DC39 Animal is configured for exactly that. Its tangle-free turbine tool tackles pet hair on upholstery, stairs, and carpets without the bristle-wrap problems that typically occur in high-shedding households. What comes off those surfaces with a turbine tool is a mix of pet hair, dander, and the fine skin particles that accompany shedding, all of it passing through the cyclone bin and into the HEPA pre-filter. Dander, in particular, is microscopic enough to represent one of the heavier fine-particle loads a filter manages in regular use, and in an active pet household the filter reaches its rinse point faster than in a standard cleaning context.
This spare filter contains a Plus.Parts® washable HEPA pre-filter, framed to the DC39 Animal’s original filter bay dimensions. The maintenance routine is unchanged from the original: cold rinse, 24-hour dry, and back in service with allergen capture restored to its full designed rate.
The media holds its filtration density after washing: no deforming, no fibre shedding, no performance cliff after the first few washes. Our team is available for compatibility questions and responds directly and personally.
