Compact and manoeuvrable, the Dyson DC39 belongs to Dyson’s bagless cylinder family as a practical mid-range model built around consistent suction rather than headline-grabbing specifications. Its airpath channels suction from the floorhead through the cyclone bin and into the motor, with the HEPA pre-filter sitting between the bin and motor to intercept the particles the cyclone separator does not retain by density alone. That filter position makes it a regular maintenance point on the machine: it loads steadily with fine dust and allergens in normal use, and a filter running past its rinse interval gradually chokes the airflow the motor can produce. On a compact cylinder like the DC39, the drop in available suction is noticeable before the bin signals it needs emptying.
This spare filter contains a Plus.Parts® washable HEPA element, sized to the DC39’s original filter housing. It seats without adjustment and follows the same maintenance cycle as the original: cold rinse, 24 hours to dry, and the vacuum is back at full airflow performance.
The media retains its shape and filtration density through repeated washing cycles, making it a lasting replacement rather than a short-term measure. For fit or delivery questions, our team responds personally and promptly.
Quick facts
- Straightforward Installation – Sized to the Dyson DC39’s original filter housing for a direct, tool-free installation without adjustment or modification.
- Built to Last – Filter media that holds its structural shape and airflow performance through repeated monthly cold-water wash cycles without degrading.
- Reliable Quality – HEPA-grade construction at a consistent standard across the replacement interval, without the early performance drop common in cheaper alternatives.
