The Dyson SV15 is Dyson’s internal platform code for an early V15 unit; machines marked SV15 are mechanically identical to the Dyson V15 in every maintenance respect and follow the same service intervals without modification. The platform delivers up to 230 AW suction through the Hyperdymium motor, with the High Torque cleaner head as the primary floor tool. Hair on the High Torque brush bar migrates toward the end caps and should be cleared weekly. The V15 generation introduces a piezoelectric particle sensor that adjusts suction automatically to particle density; the sensor is affected by fine dust accumulating at the exhaust cone and cyclone array when the bin is overfilled consistently. A single HEPA-grade filter is shared across all V15 variants.
This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , supplying 2 washable HEPA filters, a bin cover, an upper bin seal ring, quick-release buttons and a power button lock – 7 parts. The two filters support a run-and-wash rotation. Wash the filter monthly with warm running water until it runs clear — warm water is the correct specification for all V15 variants including SV15; cold water is insufficient to break down the finer oils that the V15 generation processes at higher suction, and differs from the cold-water requirement of the earlier V11 platform. Allow 24 hours of air-drying before reinsertion. Never refit damp. Replace after approximately 12 months of normal use.
