Dyson SV15 – Plus.Parts® Washable HEPA Filter

The Dyson SV15 is the internal model code for the Dyson V15 Detect platform, a cordless stick vacuum producing 230 AW of suction on the Hyperdymium motor. The V15 Detect introduced Dyson’s acoustic piezo sensor, which counts and classifies dust particles in the airstream in real time and displays the result on the machine’s LCD screen, giving the user direct feedback on floor cleanliness during a cleaning run. The post-motor HEPA filter captures fine particulate from the exhaust airstream before it is returned to the room, and its condition has a direct effect on the airflow the machine can sustain. As the filter accumulates fine debris, resistance in the airpath rises and effective suction at the floor is reduced. The SV15’s washable HEPA filter should be rinsed under warm tap water, not cold, and not with detergent, and allowed to air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstallation. Note that the V15 Detect platform specifies warm water for filter washing, unlike the cold-water wash required for the V11 platform.
