Dyson SV22 – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson SV22 is a V15 Detect series platform code used in specific markets, delivering up to 230 AW suction through a Hyperdymium motor, a High Torque cleaner head and a Laser Slim Fluffy head included as standard. It shares all maintenance requirements with the named V15 Detect range. A critical point for this generation: the filter must be washed under warm running water, not cold – the 230 AW throughput embeds fine particles more deeply than earlier platforms, and warm water is required to release them fully from the filter medium. After washing, leave the filter upright for a minimum of 24 hours in a well-ventilated area before reinserting; a damp filter causes irreversible motor bearing damage. The High Torque brush bar end caps require inspection and clearing weekly or after every two to three sessions in pet households. The Laser Slim Fluffy lens window should be wiped monthly with a dry microfibre cloth only – no liquids or solvents on the lens coating.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , supplying 2 washable HEPA filters, a dustbin lid, an upper bin seal ring with a Torx screwdriver, quick-release buttons (small and large) and a trigger lock. The two filters allow one to remain fitted while the other completes its mandatory 24-hour air-dry, eliminating machine downtime after each monthly wash. The dustbin lid and upper bin seal ring are the two most wear-prone items at the bin assembly; the seal ring includes the Torx screwdriver needed for the removal torque. The trigger lock lets the machine run hands-free without holding the trigger during extended sessions. Wash under warm running water only: fill, cover both ends and shake firmly, then drain and leave upright for 24 hours. Replace both filters annually or when warm washing no longer restores the medium to near-white.
