Dyson SV47 – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson SV47 is a market-specific SV code on the V15 platform, using filter, the High Torque cleaner head and the Laser Slim Fluffy head – all standard V15 equipment. At up to 230 AW, the Hyperdymium motor drives a higher volume of air through the filter medium per session than any earlier Dyson cordless generation, which is why Dyson specifies warm water (not cold) for filter washing on this platform. Cold water removes surface dust but leaves particles embedded at depth by the high-suction throughput in place, giving a false impression of restoration without fully recovering airflow. Allow the filter a minimum of 24 hours to air-dry upright before reinsertion. The High Torque brush bar end caps require weekly inspection and clearing; the Laser Slim Fluffy laser lens should be wiped monthly with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the beam brightness that reveals fine dust on hard floors.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , supplying 2 washable HEPA filters, a dustbin lid, an upper bin seal ring with a Torx screwdriver, quick-release buttons (small and large) and a trigger lock. A second filter in reserve removes the 24-hour drying gap from the monthly service routine entirely: swap the freshly washed filter out, fit the dry spare and continue using the machine without interruption. The dustbin lid and the upper bin seal ring are the two bin components most subject to wear and deformation under regular emptying. The trigger lock is a practical addition for extended cleaning sessions where continuous trigger pressure would otherwise be required. Wash the filters under warm running water following the fill-shake-drain method, then leave them upright in a well-ventilated space for the full 24-hour drying window. Replace annually or when warm washing no longer restores the filter medium.
