The V10’s 151-air-watt motor draws all exhaust air through the post-motor HEPA filter before it leaves the machine. Hard-floor use sends fine particles into the filter at a consistent rate, making a regular wash schedule the simplest way to maintain suction and air quality. Dyson recommends monthly washing; without it, airflow restricts gradually until the motor’s thermal protection circuit cuts in rather than delivering sustained suction.

These three Plus.Parts® washable HEPA filters fit the V10 Fluffy post-motor housing and provide the rotation the monthly schedule requires. Wash one filter at the maintenance interval, give it the full 24-hour air-dry, and run the machine on one of the other two in the meantime. The third ensures the rotation is never caught short.
