All of that capability routes air through the 151-air-watt motor and the post-motor HEPA filter at the top of the machine. Monthly washing is Dyson’s recommended interval to keep the filter performing correctly; a loaded multi-tool use pattern keeps the filter accumulating at a steady rate, which makes the schedule worth keeping. The machine carries no filter-status alert to prompt action.
