Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Extra – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Extra sits at the top of the V15 Detect Absolute family, pairing the High Torque head and the Laser Slim Fluffy head with an extended accessory bundle. At up to 230 AW through the Hyperdymium motor, it shares every maintenance requirement with the wider V15 Detect range: filter part, washed under warm running water. The warm-water specification is mandatory for V15 models because 230 AW throughput embeds fine particles more deeply into the filter medium than the earlier 185 AW V11 platform, and cold water leaves embedded particulate behind despite cleaning the surface. After washing, allow the filter to stand upright in open air for a minimum of 24 hours before reinsertion; an incompletely dried filter operated in a running machine damages the motor bearings irreversibly. Inspect the High Torque brush bar end caps weekly and clear hair wrap from the bearing journals. Wipe the Laser Slim Fluffy lens window once a month with a dry microfibre cloth to keep the green illumination beam bright and effective.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , containing 2 washable HEPA filters, a dustbin lid, an upper bin seal ring with a Torx screwdriver, quick-release buttons (small and large) and a trigger lock. Two filters eliminate the post-wash downtime: the freshly washed filter dries for 24 hours while the V15 Detect Absolute Extra continues running on the second. The dustbin lid and upper bin seal ring are the components at the bin assembly most prone to degrading before other parts of the machine; the Torx screwdriver for the seal ring is supplied. The trigger lock removes the need to maintain trigger pressure during whole-room sessions in Eco or Auto mode. Replace both filters annually or when thorough warm washing fails to restore the medium to near-white.
