The iRobot Roomba 562 (PET) is mechanically identical to the Roomba 560 and 561 in every respect that affects maintenance. The “PET” designation applies to the factory bundle only: extra filters, a spare brush set and, on some production runs, a second Home Base were included in the box. The robot hardware is unchanged. What does change in a shedding household is how fast the consumables reach their replacement points. Pet hair loads the yellow end-cap bearings in days rather than weeks during active seasons; treating a weekly bearing inspection as the default rather than the accelerated option is the correct baseline. The pleated filter reaches mid-grey significantly faster than in a hair-free home: a six-weekly replacement interval is more realistic than the standard two-to-three-month guideline when the robot runs daily in a shedding environment. Keeping a spare maintenance set on hand is more practical than ordering reactively after a stall or suction error appears.

This kit contains Plus.Parts® components as a direct-fit alternative to the original iRobot consumables: a bristle brush, a flexible beater brush, a pleated fibre filter, a 3-arm side brush and yellow end-cap bearing components. Mechanically identical to the parts that fit the Roomba 560 and 561; all install without modification in the 562’s standard-bin cleaning head.
