iRobot Roomba c7156 – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The iRobot Roomba c7156 is the entry configuration of the Roomba Combo c-series, typically sold with a charging base only. It uses the same dual multi-surface rubber brush system and retractable mop arm as the c7550, c7556, c9750 and c9758, but without auto-empty or auto-fill dock features. Every maintenance action on this model involves the robot directly, making a consistent manual routine the single most important factor in long-term performance. All consumables are identical across the full c-series and Combo j-series range.

This set supplies Plus.Parts® direct-fit alternatives to the original iRobot parts 4812261 / 4812262: two sets of dual rubber brushes, four high-efficiency filters, four side brushes, four mop pads and two dustbags – 18 parts in all. The charging-base configuration makes the mop pad the most maintenance-sensitive component on this model. Without an automated dock to wash or refill the pad, the c7156 owner is responsible for removing, rinsing and drying the pad after every single mopping run. A pad left attached to the retractable mop arm after a session stays damp inside the arm recess, and microfibre that remains continuously damp develops bacterial colonies in the pile within hours. The result is a musty odour on the next run that owners often misattribute to the filter or motor. The fix is a habit rather than a part: remove the pad immediately after the run, rinse it under warm water, and hang it vertically in open air to dry completely before refitting. Machine-wash weekly at a warm temperature without fabric softener – softener coats the microfibre with a hydrophobic layer that dramatically reduces moisture uptake. Replace the pad when the pile looks flattened or when spotting no longer washes out.

Tap the high-efficiency filter weekly and replace every two to three months. Clear both rubber brush end caps every two weeks by removing each roller and lifting hair from the bearing boss. Replace the brush pair every eight to twelve months. Swap side brushes every four to six months. The dustbags included in this set are ready if you upgrade to a Clean Base dock later.
