The iRobot Roomba Combo Essential uses reactive navigation with three-level adjustable suction and a charge-only dock. The flat microfibre mop pad operates without a dock wash cycle and the bin requires manual emptying after every run. Reactive navigation follows a wall-following and random-bounce pattern rather than a LiDAR-mapped grid, which results in higher side-brush wear from increased furniture and wall contact frequency and a bin that fills sooner per unit of floor area. The chassis on the Combo Essential has marginally less clearance around the rubber roller than the 105-series chassis, leaving debris fewer escape paths during a cleaning pass; this makes end-cap loading at the roller somewhat faster than on 105-series models under the same floor conditions, and a weekly end-cap check rather than a fortnightly one is worthwhile in pet households. The gravity-fed water reservoir releases moisture at a fixed rate; a low reservoir reduces moisture at the pad’s trailing edge before the run is complete.
This kit contains Plus.Parts® components designed as a direct-fit alternative to the original iRobot consumable set 4837325, supplying 1 multi-surface rubber roller, 3 side brushes, 5 HEPA filters and 3 mop pads – 12 parts in total. Five filters provide approximately 15 months of replacements at the two-to-three-month interval; three side brushes cover roughly three to nine months depending on floor conditions. Clear the roller end caps weekly, tap the filter fortnightly over a bin, and hand-wash the mop pad after every mopping session. Curated by VacuumReviews.eu for the iRobot Roomba Combo Essential.
