Three power modes, Eco, Medium, and Boost, allow runtime and suction depth to be balanced to the surface and task; Eco mode sustains up to sixty minutes on a full charge. The sealed filtration design carries the remaining airflow through to the HEPA filter as the final capture stage before cleaned air leaves the machine.

Dyson recommends monthly washing of the HEPA filter under cold running water to prevent surface accumulation from restricting airflow, and annual replacement when washing can no longer restore full suction.
