Dyson V15 Detect Animal – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson V15 Detect Animal combines the High Torque cleaner head, the Laser Slim Fluffy head and a pet-focused accessory bundle with the piezo particle sensor and 230 AW Hyperdymium output. As with all V15 Detect models, the piezo sensor measures particle density in real time across four size categories; accurate readings depend on the airflow that a clean, dry filter maintains. Pet-hair households in particular should inspect the High Torque brush bar end caps weekly, since dense underfur and long guard hair migrate to the end-cap bearing journals and may need clearing after every session rather than just weekly in high-shedding homes. The filter – part, shared across all V15 models – must be washed with warm running water monthly. Do not use cold water; the 230 AW throughput embeds fine particles at a depth that warm water addresses and cold water does not. Wash, shake, drain, then air-dry upright for 24 hours before reinserting. Wipe the Laser Slim Fluffy lens monthly with a dry microfibre cloth.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , supplying 2 washable HEPA filters, a dustbin lid, an upper bin seal ring with a Torx screwdriver, quick-release buttons (small and large) and a trigger lock. The two filters allow continuous use through the mandatory 24-hour post-wash drying window: the washed filter dries while the spare keeps the V15 Detect Animal running. The dustbin lid and upper bin seal ring are the bin-assembly parts most prone to wear and cracking under regular use; the Torx driver for the seal ring removal is included. The trigger lock enables hands-free use without sustained trigger hold for extended Auto-mode cleaning passes. Replace both filters each year, or when warm washing leaves the filter medium persistently grey rather than close to white.
