Dyson V7 Motorhead Extra – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson V7 Motorhead Extra is a carpet-focused variant in the V7 range, delivering 100 AW suction with up to 30 minutes of runtime. Its primary cleaning tool is the direct-drive motorised cleaner head with nylon bristles engineered for carpet fibre agitation. Hair wraps at the two bearing ends of the brush bar and should be cleared every one to two weeks by releasing the end caps and cutting any wrapped hair free before it causes the brush bar motor’s thermal protection to activate. The pre-motor filter and post-motor HEPA filter are washed monthly with cold water until the rinse runs clear, then dried upright for a full 24 hours before refitting.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson parts /, supplying 2 matched pairs of washable HEPA filters (4 filters in total), a bin cover and quick-release buttons (small and large). The two filter pairs support a continuous run-and-wash rotation: one pair stays in the machine while the other completes its mandatory 24-hour air-dry after washing. The bin cover replaces the wear-prone lid that cracks under repeated point-and-shoot emptying; the quick-release buttons – supplied in both small and large sizes – restore the snap-fit that holds attachments securely during use. Wash both filters cold-water only, rubbing firmly until the rinse water runs clear, then leave them upright in a well-ventilated area for a full 24 hours before refitting. Never use heat, detergent or a washing machine. Replace both filters after approximately 12 months of normal use, or sooner if repeated washing no longer restores visible whiteness.
