The iRobot Roomba 205 Combo White combines vacuuming and mopping in a single unit, handling the kind of mixed cleaning routine that would otherwise require two separate passes or two separate appliances. The main rubber brush powers the vacuum side of each run, sweeping debris from hard floors and low-pile carpet into the intake as the robot moves. Rubber brushes suit this multi-surface role: the material conforms to floor irregularities and sheds pet hair without the tangling that comes with bristle-type brushes. The washable property gives the brush a longer usable life before replacement; rinsed clean, the rubber resets toward its original condition. Eventually, though, the compound loses its resilience and pickup drops below the standard the robot’s intake system is designed to work with.
