iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max is the flagship of the Combo j-line, combining the highest suction tier with an AutoWash Dock that washes and hot-air dries the mop pad after every run. SmartScrub mode drives the robot back and forth over heavily soiled areas rather than making a single forward pass. The robot underside is identical to every other j-line model, so all robot-side consumables are shared and the 18 parts in this set fit without modification.

This set covers the full service scope with Plus.Parts® direct-fit alternatives to the original iRobot parts 4812261 / 4812262: two sets of dual rubber brushes, four high-efficiency filters, four side brushes, four mop pads and two dustbags – 18 parts in all. The AutoWash Dock wash tray and pad-holder grille are the maintenance items unique to this model. The wash tray collects everything the mop pad lifts from the floor during the dock wash cycle, and the grille beneath the pad holder allows water to drain through while trapping debris. Over two weeks of daily use, dried residue accumulates in the grille slots and restricts drainage. A partially blocked grille is the main cause of dock-dry errors and of the mop pad emerging damp rather than near-dry after the drying cycle completes. Running the dock’s Self-Cleaning Cycle as prompted in the app does not replace the manual tray rinse. Remove the tray every two weeks, rinse it under the tap, and use a soft brush to clear each grille slot. The dirty-water tank must be emptied after every wash cycle and the clean-water tank topped up at the same time – standing dirty water develops biofilm that transfers to the wash system on the next cycle.

SmartScrub back-and-forth mopping wears the microfibre pile faster than a single-pass pattern, so expect pad replacement at the lower end of the three-to-six-month range. The AutoWash Dock extends pad life by washing and drying automatically, which partially offsets the SmartScrub wear. Tap the filter weekly and replace every two to three months. Clear both rubber brush end caps every two weeks. Replace brushes every eight to twelve months and side brushes every four to six months.
