The Narwal J4 is a regional market restyle of Narwal’s original ambient Freo design, mechanically the same robot as the Freo X Ultra and built around identical consumables. It cleans at 8,200 Pa, spins a pair of Reuleaux triangular mop pads at 180 RPM under roughly 12 N of downforce, and uses a zero-tangle floating roller with an all-in-one dock that combines a 1 L dust bag, an ambient-temperature mop scrub and passive-airflow drying.
This set keeps the J4 supplied with Plus.Parts® consumables built as a direct-fit alternative to the original Narwal part: two floating roller brushes, four side brushes, six washable dust-bin filters, six triangular mop pads and two 1 L dock dust bags, twenty parts in all. The floating arm self-adjusts for carpet pile, which helps pickup but sits the side bearings close to the floor, so pull the roller every two weeks and clear hair from the bearing caps before refitting; replace it every three to six months. The washable HEPA-rated bin filter is the J4’s only fine-filtration point, so tap it weekly, rinse it every four weeks, dry it fully for 24 hours and replace it every three months on schedule rather than waiting for the app.
Replace the two triangular pads together on a one-to-three-month cadence – they thin at the corners first and a mismatched pair leaves patchy damp streaks – and machine-wash them at about 40°C roughly monthly, the one task the app does not flag and the usual reason an ambient-dock J4 starts to smell stale. Clear the side brush shaft every two weeks and replace the brush every three to six months, swap the 1 L dust bag every six to seven weeks without compressing it past the indicator, and empty the dirty-water tank weekly while wiping the scraper ribs. If pads are still damp the next morning, the room humidity is beating the passive dry – air-dry them flat overnight. Behind the set is a real team at VacuumReviews.eu, so if pickup drops or the dock smells sour, reach out and we will help you trace it to the right consumable.
