Front-mounted navigation sensors need regular attention

Tap all four sides of the filter frame over a waste bin every one to two weeks rather than washing it, since washing can degrade the filter medium even where no visible damage appears afterward. Common problems and their maintenance causes
Dreame does not publish specific error codes for the Matrix series that can be referenced here, so the problems below are described by symptom only, along with the maintenance step most likely to resolve each one.
Suction drops noticeably during cleaning
A restricted filter is the most common cause of a sudden, noticeable drop in suction rather than a gradual one, particularly on the 30,000 Pa and 35,000 Pa models where airflow demand is highest. Remove and inspect the filter first; if it has shifted from white to grey, replace it using the correct individual filter for the model in use, such as the Matrix10 Ultra
filter or the X60 MatriX
filter. If the filter looks clean, check the suction inlet port inside the dust box for a blockage before assuming a deeper fault.
Auto-empty fails to complete
A full dock dust bag is the first thing to check when auto-empty stalls partway through or the robot’s internal dust box remains full after docking. Replace the bag using the model-specific link, for example the Matrix10 Pro
or X50 Ultra MatriX
bag. If the fault continues after replacement, wipe the docking port on the underside of the robot and the port seal, since fine dust accumulating there over repeated cycles can break the seal needed for the transfer to complete.
Mop pads do not come back fully clean
Check the dock spray nozzles or, on the X50 Ultra MatriX
, the water inlet path, for partial blockage first; a blocked path produces uneven wash coverage across the pad. Legs stop extending or retracting smoothly

Robot hesitates or detours around clear floor space

Hair wraps around the brush despite the anti-tangle design

Remove the brush, cut away any wrapped hair along its full length, and clear both end caps thoroughly before reinstalling.
