The Dyson DC37c Allergy & Stubb is a DC37c configuration combining two task-specific accessory sets: an allergen-focused set for removing allergens from carpets and upholstery, and tools designed for stubborn embedded debris, grit pressed into carpet pile and dried particles packed into surface textures that standard passes do not fully address. Both modes operate on the same Root Cyclone separation platform. Root Cyclone separation forms the core of the Dyson DC37c Allergy & Stubb’s dust management: the system spins incoming air at high velocity, centrifugally separating large and medium dust and debris before the airstream continues to the filtration stage and reducing what fine particulate reaches the pre-motor filter. Finer particles that pass through the cyclone stage, ultrafine dust, airborne allergens, shed skin cells, and microscopic debris, reach the pre-motor HEPA filter, where the dense media intercepts them before they can enter the motor chamber. Build-up of fine particulate in the filter media over time increases airflow restriction and causes suction at the floor tool to decline. Rinsing the filter under cold water clears accumulated dust and restores open airflow through the media; allow a full 24-hour drying period before refitting. When rinsing no longer fully recovers performance, or when the filter has reached its service life, a direct-fit replacement restores full suction.
