Dyson V11 Torque Drive – Plus.Parts® Maintenance Set

The Dyson V11 Torque Drive takes its name from the High Torque cleaner head that gave the V11 generation its carpet performance benchmark. The Hyperdymium motor drives up to 185 AW in Boost mode, and the filter part – – is shared across every V11 variant without exception. One specification that often catches owners by surprise: all V11 models require cold running water for filter washing. This is a platform-specific requirement – the warm-water guidance Dyson publishes for the later V15 generation does not apply here. Wash monthly, using the fill-cover-shake method until the rinse runs clear, and allow the filter to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before reinsertion. A wet filter operated in a running V11 machine causes irreversible motor bearing damage. Inspect the High Torque brush bar end caps weekly and clear any hair wrap before it tightens into the bearing journal area where it becomes harder to remove cleanly.

This kit is a Plus.Parts® alternative to the original Dyson part , containing 2 washable HEPA filters, a dustbin lid, an upper bin seal ring with a Torx screwdriver, quick-release buttons (small and large) and a trigger lock. The pair of filters solves the downtime problem that a single-filter set creates: the washed filter dries while the spare remains fitted, so the V11 Torque Drive stays in service through the entire 24-hour window. The dustbin lid and upper bin seal ring address the two bin-assembly components most susceptible to cracking or deformation over years of use; the Torx screwdriver required to remove the seal ring arrives in the kit. The trigger lock is useful for extended sessions in Auto mode where sustained trigger pressure would be tiring. Replace both filters once a year or when thorough cold washing fails to restore a near-white colour to the filter medium.
