Replacement parts and service intervals

Filter

The baseline wash interval is monthly across the entire range. The correct water temperature for every model is cold running water; never use detergent, and never place the filter in a dishwasher or washing machine. Remove the filter by rotating it anticlockwise from the top of the machine and tap it gently over a waste bin before washing to dislodge loose surface dust. High Torque brush bar

Inspect and clear hair wrap from the brush bar of the High Torque cleaner head weekly, or after every two to three sessions in households with long-haired pets, checking the end caps for accumulated hair and thread. Replace the brush bar roughly every 12 to 18 months under daily use. On the Dyson V11 AnimalDyson V11 Animal and Dyson V11 Animal+Dyson V11 Animal+, the combination of dense underfur and long guard hair typical of many dog breeds means the end caps may need clearing after every use rather than weekly. Absolute-family variants also carry the Laser Slim Fluffy head, which combines a soft roller with an integrated laser lens at floor level; this head is covered by the same weekly end-cap and hair-wrap inspection as the High Torque head, with no separate care routine. Bin and cyclone emptying

The primary signal that replacement is needed is a run time that remains significantly below the expected figure after the filter has been confirmed clean and fully dry, the brush bar or Motorbar is spinning freely, and the battery has completed a full charge cycle from empty. The Dyson V11 AdvancedDyson V11 Advanced differs from the rest of the range: it uses a 7-cell lithium-ion battery pack supporting a maximum runtime of up to 60 minutes, reflecting its higher-output MAX mode. Dock and charging contacts

The V11 range uses a wall-mounted dock and charger only; there is no auto-empty base on any model in this series, so all bin emptying is performed manually as described above. Common problems and their maintenance causes

Suction noticeably weaker after a recent cleaning session

The most common cause of reduced suction on any V11 model, even one that was used recently, is a filter that has accumulated more particulate than its appearance suggests. A filter that looks off-white rather than mid-grey can still be restricting airflow enough to drop measured suction by several air watts. Wash the filter under cold running water following the fill, shake, and drain method, allow the full 24-hour drying period, and reinstall. If suction is not restored after a confirmed-clean, fully dry filter is fitted, inspect the wand, the cleaner head inlet, and the duct between the head and the bin for a partial obstruction. Remove the end cap covers and clear the full length of the roller of hair and debris, then confirm the chamber floor beneath the brush bar is free of compacted debris that could obstruct rotation.
