The Narwal Freo X Ultra is the 8,200 Pa flagship of Narwal’s original Freo platform, built around an all-in-one base station that pairs a 1 L dust bag with an ambient-temperature mop scrub and passive-airflow drying. Its pair of Reuleaux triangular pads spin against the floor at 180 RPM under roughly 12 N of downforce, and a zero-tangle floating single-arm roller passes most hair straight into the bin. Because this dock washes the pads with cold water and dries them by airflow rather than heat, the routine is a little more hands-on than hot-wash rivals demand.

This set keeps each interval supplied with Plus.Parts® consumables built as a direct-fit alternative to the original Narwal part: two floating roller brushes, four side brushes, six washable dust-bin filters, six triangular mop pads and two 1 L dock dust bags, twenty parts in all. Pull the floating roller every two weeks and check the bearing caps at both axle ends, where hair gathers even when the brush body looks clear; replace it every three to six months. The HEPA-rated bin filter is the only fine-filtration stage in the airpath, so tap it out weekly, rinse it under cool water every four weeks, let it dry a full 24 hours and replace it every three months whatever its colour.

The triangular pads wear from their three corners inward because those corners contact the floor far more often than the centre, so replace both together – even when only one looks worn – on a one-to-three-month cadence, sooner if you run edge mopping hard against skirting. The single habit the app never prompts is machine-washing the pads at about 40°C roughly monthly: the ambient dock cannot lift embedded residue, and skipping this is the usual cause of a stale smell from the mop area. Clear the side brush shaft every two weeks and replace it every three to six months, swap the 1 L dust bag every six to seven weeks without hand-compressing it, and empty the dirty-water tank weekly.
