The mopping system on the Roborock QR 598 handles the wet cleaning side of each session: it applies solution to the floor, the pads press down and scrub, and the dock washes and dries the pads at the end of each run so they are ready to go again. This loop works well when the pads are in good condition. The issue is that every scrubbing cycle, dock wash, and thermal drying pass puts stress on the pad fibres. They compress slightly each time, and the cumulative effect over months of daily use is a pad surface that no longer generates meaningful friction against the floor. At that stage the mopping pass is depositing moisture rather than removing residue, and the robot’s cleaning results fall noticeably below what they were when the pads were fresh.
These four washable mop pads are available through Plus.Parts® as a direct replacement for the QR 598’s mopping unit. They are manufactured to the same surface dimensions and attachment arrangement as the originals, so installation follows the same process. The pad construction prioritises fibre durability across wash cycles, meaning they hold their scrubbing performance for the full intended replacement interval rather than degrading prematurely.
