Every RoboVac in this lineup runs BoostIQ, the feature that ramps the motor to 1500Pa within 1.5 seconds the moment it detects carpet or heavier debris. On the RoboVac 15T and the RoboVac 30 the boost is the rated maximum; on the older 1300Pa units like the RoboVac 12 it is the upper ceiling the motor reaches when it encounters a rug edge. Peak suction only lands on the floor if the airway is clean. A loaded high-performance filter and a partly jammed rolling brush both bleed that peak away before it reaches the nozzle, which is why Eufy support recommends cleaning the filters roughly once a week and replacing the brush and filter every two to three months on typical use.
The 0.6-litre dustbin fills fast on a brushed-only platform
None of the RoboVacs in this generation have an auto-empty dock, so the 0.6-litre dustbin is the only place debris goes until you empty it by hand. On a pet home or a carpeted room the RoboVac 35C and the RoboVac 30C will fill that bin inside a single run. A full dustbin then sits against the pre-filter and starves the high-performance filter behind it, which is exactly the condition where BoostIQ starts running constantly and flattening the battery. Super-thin chassis means the rolling brush carries the full sweeping load
The 72mm-to-73mm chassis used across the RoboVac range is one of the thinnest on the market, and that thin body leaves no room for the articulated roller extractors seen on newer Eufy Omni models. The rolling brush is a single bristle-and-fin roller doing all the agitation, and the two side brushes feed debris into it. Hair wraps the roller ends and the wheels, quietly, and a wrapped roller loses contact pressure with carpet pile before it makes any audible noise. This is why the fortnightly brush inspection matters even on machines that look clean from above.
Boundary strips and drop sensors are the only navigation aids
These RoboVacs use infrared sensors and, on models like the RoboVac 15C, RoboVac 30 and RoboVac 30C, boundary strips to stay out of rooms you do not want cleaned. There is no camera and no laser turret, but there are cliff sensors underneath the unit that prevent stair falls. The 1300Pa tier: RoboVac 11S, 11S Plus and 15C
The RoboVac 11S, the RoboVac 11S Plus and the first-generation RoboVac 15C peak at 1300Pa. On hard floors and low-pile rugs they hold maintenance intervals comfortably, so the practical rule is: clean the filter stack once a week, inspect the rolling brush every two weeks, replace the filter and brushes every two to three months. These units do not have BoostIQ on carpet, so their motors run less hot, and their consumables typically last toward the upper end of the replacement window.
The 1500Pa BoostIQ tier: RoboVac 12, 15T, 25C, 30, 30C and 35C
From the RoboVac 12 onwards, BoostIQ pushes the motor to 1500Pa on demand. The RoboVac 25C, RoboVac 30, RoboVac 30C and RoboVac 35C spend more cumulative time at that higher suction level in any home with carpet, so the high-performance filter loads faster and the rolling brush picks up more debris per minute. Plan on filter replacement closer to two months in a pet home, with a fortnightly brush inspection.
Replacement parts and service intervals
High-performance filter and foam pre-filter
The RoboVac filter stack is the pre-filter (foam) and the high-performance filter behind it. Eufy support is explicit on one point: the pre-filter and foam filter can be rinsed with water and air-dried, but the high-performance filter must not be washed, because water damages the electrostatic layer and drops suction permanently. Tap the high-performance filter against the bin to knock out the dust load and replace it every two to three months. On the 1500Pa BoostIQ units like the RoboVac 30C, filter replacement at roughly eight weeks is realistic; on the 1300Pa RoboVac 11S twelve weeks is normal.
Rolling brush
One standard bristle-and-fin rolling brush does all the agitation on every RoboVac in this series. Inspect it every two weeks, pull hair from the end caps using the cleaning tool that shipped with the robot, and replace it every six months or sooner if the bristles have splayed and lost their spring. On long-hair pet homes this interval tightens to four months. A tired rolling brush is often the real cause of a robot that is “going over the same patch without picking anything up”, because the brush is no longer flicking debris up into the suction path.
Side brushes
The three-armed side brushes sweep debris inward from the corners of the chassis. They splay over time, and once they are bent out of shape they throw debris past the robot rather than under it. Rinse them off every two weeks and replace them every two to three months. Both side brushes share one part number in the maintenance set, so replace them as a pair to keep the sweep balanced.
Dustbin, bin filter tray and bin gasket
Empty the 0.6-litre bin after every carpet run and at least every second run on hard floor. The bin itself is washable. Let it fully air-dry before refitting, because residual moisture behind the bin filter tray is the single most common cause of a musty smell and of premature high-performance filter failure. Check the black foam gasket that seals the bin into the chassis; if it tears or compresses flat, the robot pulls air from around the bin instead of through the filter.
Battery
The lithium-ion battery in every RoboVac in this range is rated at 2200mAh to 2600mAh depending on the variant. When new it delivers 90 to 100 minutes of runtime at standard suction; with regular charging cycles this holds well for 18 to 24 months in daily use. The signal that the battery needs replacement is a sharp and consistent drop in runtime: once a fully charged run covers less than 40 minutes and the charging contacts are clean, the cells have aged past their useful capacity and replacement is the correct response rather than any further cleaning. Keep the two gold charging contacts on both the dock and the robot free of dust and oxidation by wiping them with a dry cloth weekly. Corroded contacts cause incomplete charge cycles that are often mistaken for a degraded battery, so rule them out before ordering a replacement cell.
Cliff sensors and wheels
Wipe the four cliff sensors on the underside with a soft dry cloth every two weeks. Check the drive wheels and the front caster wheel for hair wrap every two weeks. None of these are replacement parts in the maintenance set, but neglecting them produces symptoms that look like consumables failing.

Common problems and their maintenance causes
Suction noticeably weaker than usual
The highest-probability cause on any RoboVac is a loaded high-performance filter, because BoostIQ is trying to pull air through an increasingly restrictive membrane. Tap the filter out first, then check the rolling brush for hair wrap around the end bearings. On the RoboVac 30C and RoboVac 35C, if tapping the filter recovers suction only for the first ten minutes of the next run, the filter has reached its replacement point.
Robot runs louder than it used to
On the 1500Pa BoostIQ units, extra motor noise usually means BoostIQ is triggering constantly because the airway is restricted and the motor is reading carpet-load resistance on bare floors. Swap the high-performance filter first. If the noise continues, check for hair wrapped around the rolling brush end bearings, which raises drive torque and changes the motor pitch.
Robot refuses to leave the dock or reverses off every transition
Dust on the cliff sensors on the underside makes the robot read every floor as the edge of a staircase. Wipe all four cliff sensors with a dry cloth. On the RoboVac 11S and RoboVac 12 this is easily the most common “broken robot” symptom reported to support.
Robot goes over the same patch without picking anything up
A rolling brush that has lost its bristle spring no longer flicks debris up into the suction path. The robot’s path planner is working correctly but the pickup is not. Replace the rolling brush. This symptom typically appears around the six-month mark on the RoboVac 15C and RoboVac 25C, sooner in pet homes.
Musty smell from the robot or the exhaust air
This is almost always residual moisture behind the filter tray from a bin that was washed but not fully dried, or a foam pre-filter that was rinsed and put back damp. Remove the filter stack, let everything air-dry for 24 hours, and do not wash the high-performance filter at all. If the smell persists, the high-performance filter has absorbed organic debris past the point of recovery and needs replacement.
Side brushes flinging debris away from the robot
Once side brushes have splayed or curled in one direction from heat and use, they throw debris outward instead of inward. Replace the pair. The 0.6-litre dustbin can catch the debris the side brushes feed in, but only if the brushes are flat and their three arms are intact.
Wi-Fi models drop connection mid-run
On the RoboVac 15C, RoboVac 25C, RoboVac 30C and RoboVac 35C, the Wi-Fi module only works on 2.4GHz. If the home router has merged 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one SSID and the app cannot see the robot mid-run, split the bands at the router or assign the robot a 2.4GHz-only SSID. This is a setup issue, not a maintenance issue, but it presents identically to a failing robot.
What consistent maintenance protects over time
The consumables on a RoboVac interact. A loaded high-performance filter raises the motor load, BoostIQ triggers more often, the motor runs hotter, and the drive electronics sit at a higher ambient temperature. A worn rolling brush raises drive torque on the side wheels, which in turn puts more current through the motor driver than the designers intended. A partly torn bin gasket lets the robot pull unfiltered air past the high-performance filter, which contaminates the motor chamber itself.
